Confederate Memorial Day at Tennessee Confederate Soldiers Home Cemetery.
The McGavock camp events are planned as far in advance as possible, but are subject to change or cancelation with out notice.
The McGavock camp has several activities that we join forces with other organization such as our sister organization of the UDC.
These events are usually honoring our current military personal or honoring our past Confederate ancestors.
In other events we may join forces with other living history organization or other reenactor groups.
Our event purposes are to educate the public, honor our ancestors, and to preserve and understand our history as it really happened.

Where can I see the McGavock Camp in action?
The McGavock Camp does not meet in the month of January. Our schedule is determined during our first meeting of the year in February. Occasionally we will add events during the season, so check back to this page often to see our updates. On average, we will be at between five and ten events per year ranging from May until December.
The McGavock Camp welcomes anyone interested in membership to our organization or is interested in attending our events or even wanting to learn and discuss our Civil War history. Feel free to visit us at our meetings or come and see us at any of the events listed. To help support local historical societies, there may be an entrance fee to some of these events. For more information about joining us please contact our camp adjutant
