Sunday June 3, 2007 Captain E. D. Baxter Camp 2034 Sons of Confederate Veterans in Fairview dedicated a Historical Marker for E.D. Baxter's Company and Marion's Rifles.

On Sunday, June 3 2007, Confederate Memorial Day, the members of Captain E.D. Baxter Camp 2034 Sons of Confederate Veterans, in cooperation with the Williamson County Historical Society, held a dedication ceremony for the Baxter's Artillery and Marion's Rifles Historic Marker in Fairview, TN. The Williamson County Historical Society held their meeting in Fairview at the Fairview City Hall. Following the meeting everyone adjourned outside for the marker dedication. The dedication and meeting was attended by over 100 local citizens, city officials and Confederate re-enactors. The Baxter's Artillery/Marion's Rifles marker is one of three new historical markers in Fairview.

Thanks to all the compatriots that participated in the memorial services.
