Clark, Dan, and Jamie
After the dedication ceremony in South Carolina, Clark Thornton(left), Jamie Paterson(middle), and her son Dan Paterson(right), stopped by Alta Vista Cemetery along with Garland Reynolds and Richard Pilcher, president of The Longstreet Society, to witness the cleaning of James Longstreet's burial stone. In late December, the site had been the target of vandals, but due to the efforts of the Longstreet Society and the kind and gracious assistance of a company owned by Don Jakes that specializes in this sort of task, the entire site has been completely cleaned.
